Soudal Quick-Step lead Giro prize money table after Grande Partenza

Three stages into the 2026 Giro d'Italia and it is Soudal Quick-Step who lead the prize money table, with Paul Magnier's two bunch sprint wins in Bulgaria having pushed the Belgian team clear of the chasing pack.

Giro 2026 prize money

The 2026 Giro d'Italia offers a total prize pool of approximately €1.6 million, spread across all aspects of the race, from overall standings and stage victories to jersey classifications, team rankings and daily awards.

The overall winner takes home €115,668  with each stage win paying out €11,010 and the maglia rosa wearer collecting a €2,000 bonus each day. In keeping with cycling tradition, the prize money is usually shared among teams, reflecting the sport's collective spirit.

We've reached the first rest day of the 2026 Giro d'Italia. The peloton transfers from Bulgaria to Italy on Monday with the Bulgarian opening behind them and the southern Italian stages ahead, and while the GC race has barely begun to take shape, the prize money table is already taking a clear order.

Soudal Quick-Step lead the way thanks to Magnier's wins on stage 1 in Burgas and stage 3 in Sofia, with the Belgian team having earned €30,472 across the opening three days. XDS Astana sits second on €20,740, with Guillermo Thomas Silva's stage 2 win in Veliko Tarnovo and his time leading the race in the maglia rosa accounting for most of that haul. Lidl-Trek's Jonathan Milan has helped his team to €13,191 in third.

Behind the top three, wildcard team Polti VisitMalta sit fourth on €12,252, which is a substantial early haul for a ProTeam outfit, driven in large part by Diego Sevilla's leadership of the mountains classification across the three days. Bardiani CSF 7 Saber's €8,404 in fifth shows the other Italian wildcard has also made its mark on the opening week through Manuele Tarozzi's breakaway efforts and intermediate sprints. Decathlon CMA CGM (€7,010) and Tudor (€6,760) round out the top seven.

Further down, Unibet Rose Rockets have earned €2,953 in their first-ever Grand Tour, with Dylan Groenewegen's third-place finish on stage 3 helping keep the team on the board. Netcompany Ineos (€5,552), NSN (€3,605), EF Education-EasyPost (€2,755) and Uno-X Mobility (€2,303) sit in the midfield.

Notably, Jonas Vingegaard's Visma | Lease a Bike are languishing on €676. UAE Team Emirates-XRG (€1,827) and Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe (€1,654) sit in similar positions.

At the other end of the table, Groupama-FDJ United bring up the rear with €276, with Alpecin-Premier Tech (€476) and Picnic PostNL (€652, the others below the €1,000 mark.
