Thibaut Pinot lists his farm on Airbnb for an exclusive Tour de France stay
Thibaut Pinot has listed his farm on Airbnb, offering a family of up to six the chance to stay with him free of charge to celebrate the Tour de France passing through his home village of Mélisey.
On July 17, Stage 13 of the Tour will roll through the village of Mélisey, where Pinot was born. The stage is 205km in length, taking the peloton from Dole to Belfort, and features an ascent of the Ballon d'Alsace on the run-in to the finish.
The Ballon d'Alsace featured at the start of Pinot's final Tour de France mountain stage on stage 20 in 2023. The Frenchman delivered a swashbuckling send-off on home roads, attacking and leading the race over the Le Petit Ballon later in the stage.
Pinot's friends, family and supporters gathered towards the summit, which became known as the "Virage Pinot" (Pinot's corner), in one of the most memorable moments in recent Tour history, illustrating the Frenchman's immense support.
To mark the Tour crossing his home roads, Pinot announced in a listing on Airbnb that he will be inviting a family to share a four-day, three-night stay at his farm in Franche-Comté, where he will treat his guests to an unforgettable experience.

“During the stay, I'll take you inside the Tour de France, paddock access and for guests ages 16+, we’ll take a ride in an official race car and enjoy a helicopter view of the stage,” Pinot explained on Airbnb.
“Away from the tour and back at the farm, I'll show you the animals, and we'll finish with an e-bike ride and a picnic by my pond. Sport and countryside, the way I know them,” added Pinot.
Pinot, who retired at the end of 2023, built a cult fan base over his 14-year professional career, which included three Tour de France stage wins, Il Lombardia and finishing third overall at the Tour in 2014.
The window to apply for an opportunity to be hosted by Pinot on his farm during the Tour opens on June 19 at 10am CET on the Airbnb website.
