Tour de France to remain behind paywall in UK as TNT Sports extends deal until 2032
Eurosport and TNT Sports will continue to show the Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift until at least 2032 after reaching a new agreement with the EBU.

Eurosport and TNT Sports have extended their agreement with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) to broadcast the Tour de France, Vuelta a España and other races across Europe until at least 2032.
The deal, which was announced on Monday, comes after a contract extension between the EBU, Tour organisers Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO) and Unipublic, the Vuelta organisers, building on the previous agreement signed in 2024.
The package includes every stage of the Tour de France, Tour de France Femmes, La Vuelta a España, La Vuelta Femenina alongside Paris-Roubaix and Liège-Bastogne-Liège. Other races include Paris-Nice, Flèche Wallonne and the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
Coverage is available on Eurosport across 50 markets and 21 languages, while TNT Sports continues to serve the UK and Ireland. The cost of a TNT Sports subscription has angered many cycling fans but no British Free-to-air television broadcaster opted to pick-up rights.
“It is a privilege to act as the custodian of the biggest events in cycling including the Tour de France and La Vuelta and we welcome the opportunity to continue working in partnership with the EBU and ASO to showcase the very best of our sport,” Trojan Paillot, SVP, Sports Rights Acquisitions and Syndication at Eurosport and TNT Sports, said.
The official statement reports that Eurosport’s audience grew by 9% across Europe for the 2026 Tour de France, while TNT Sports recorded a 58% increase in the UK and Ireland during its first year of exclusive coverage.
The extension means that in the UK, live Tour coverage will remain on a subscription service after ITV relinquished its free-to-air broadcast rights last year. For the 2026 edition, Channel 5 had free-to-air daily highlight shows.
Next year, both the men's and women's races will begin with British Grand Départs, starting on 2 July and 30 July respectively.
