Tour Today: Stage 11 β A final duel for the puncheurs?
Tadej PogaΔar leads the Tour de France into week 2, which features the Pyrenees, but first a stage in Toulouse with some short but steep climbs in the closing 20 kilometres. Will anybody dare to attack? Catch up with anything you might have missed and get all the details of what's coming up today in Domestique's daily guide.

Tour de France stage 11 profile
Stage 11 begins and finishes in the City of Toulouse, which has appeared in 28 previous editions of the Tour de France. This stage has been profiled by the race organisers as flat and is true to form for the most part.
The key climb looks to be the third category CΓ΄te de Pech David, which is only 800 metres long, but averages a stinging 12.4%, which could put pay to many riders' chances if things kick off on the slopes. The fact that the summit is 8.8 kilometres from the finish line might be enough to entice riders to try their luck with an attack.Β

What to expect?
This will be no easy finish for the fast men, and they will hope that things do not kick off on the series of short, steep climbs in the closing kilometres.Β
This could be a stage that is more suited to the versatile sprinters, and even then, we could see some puncheurs/GC riders try their luck, as we have seen with stages of a similar profile recently.
The likes of Kaden Groves, Biniam Girmay and Wout van Aert stand the best chance in this finale with the climbs, but even then, the steep gradients might prove to be too much, especially if there are attacks or a scintillating pace. The fact that the final climb comes within the final 10km may mean that those who are dropped will find it hard to get back to the group in time for the finish.Β
Could we see an attack from a rider like Mathieu van der Poel, or will even the GC riders rise to the front on the climb, similar to the opening stage of the CritΓ©rium du DauphinΓ©?
