Tour de Romandie 2026 - Prologue time trial start times
The 2026 edition of the Tour de Romandie begins on Tuesday with a 3.2km prologue in Villars-sur-Glâne, offering the first opportunity to create gaps in the general classification before the race heads into more demanding terrain.
The route begins with a fast, slightly downhill section, before turning uphill in the final 1.1 kilometres, where gradients average around five percent. It is not an overly technical course, although a handful of roundabouts could still disrupt the rhythm.
The opening rider, Davide Formolo (Movistar), rolls down the ramp at 14:30 (CET), with start times running throughout the afternoon until top favourite Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG), who closes proceedings at 17:27.
Among the GC contenders, Oscar Onley (Ineos Grenadiers) is the first to roll down the ramp at 15:53, followed shortly by Primož Roglič of Red Bull–Bora–Hansgrohe at 15:55. His teammate Florian Lipowitz starts at 16:10, with Antonio Tiberi (Bahrain Victorious) following at 16:20, before Tadej Pogačar closes things out.
