Trofeo Andratx-Pollença delayed and reduced in distance as Evenepoel targets hat trick
For the second year running, the race has been impacted by weather conditions, but the race organisers still expect the race to go ahead despite the changes.

The start of the 2026 Trofeo Andratx-Pollença has been delayed, and the race distance has been reduced due to organisational reasons and adverse weather conditions.
The fourth and penultimate race that makes up the 2026 Garden Hotels and Resorts Challenge Ciclista Mallorca has been reduced in distance by 26km, taking the total race distance to 121.5km.
The four key climbs that make up the race remain: the Coll de sa Gramola, Coll de Claret, Coll de Puig Major and the uphill finish to Mirador d’Es Colomer, with the truncated section of the route coming towards the beginning of the race.
Additionally, the race start has also been delayed by 35 minutes, with the riders now set to depart from Andratx at 1 pm local time.
This isn’t the first occasion in recent times where the Trofeo Andratx-Pollença has been impacted by external factors. Twelve months ago, the race was cancelled after just 23km due to dangerous weather conditions, which involved strong gusts of wind as well as heavy rain, which made the road surface slippery and caused multiple crashes.
The most recent winner of the Trofeo Andratx-Pollença was Pelayo Sanchez in 2024, who won from a reduced group sprint, a few months before he would win a maiden Grand Tour stage at the Giro d’Italia.
The 2026 Challenge Mallorca series opened with a birthday victory for António Morgado (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) at the Trofeo Calvià. Since then, Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe have enjoyed two victories with the team time trial in the Trofeo Ses Salines before Remco Evenepoel secured a dominant victory at the Trofeo Serra Tramuntana on Friday.
Two consecutive victories mark the perfect start to life at Red-Bull-Bora-hansgrohe for Evenepoel, who also headlines the start list for the Trofeo Andratx-Pollença and has clear ambitions of continuing his winning streak on Saturday
“They say there’s never two without three,” Evenepoel told Het Laatste Nieuws after his victory at the Trofeo Serra Tramuntana, “We’re going for it.”
