Vingegaard slams photographer for crash after Ventoux finish
Jonas Vingegaard rolled the dice on the slopes of Mont Ventoux, attacking Tadej Pogacar several times but he was unable to distance his rival. Immediately after the finish, the Dane came down in a crash after riding into a photographer.

Jonas Vingegaard was knocked off his bike by a photographer immediately after crossing the finish line of stage 16 of the Tour de France at the summit of Mont Ventoux.
The Danish rider confirmed the incident occurred just moments after he finished the stage.
"Some photographer ran straight out in front of me straight after the finish line. I don’t know what he was doing," Vingegaard said.
Despite multiple attacks on the final climb with support from strategically positioned Visma-Lease a Bike teammates, Vingegaard was unable to shake Pogačar, who maintained his position in the yellow jersey.
The crash will add frustration to the lack of fruits for his labour on the stage.
"Yeah I went down, I think people in the finish area, they should use their eyes more," Vingegaard added, visibly annoyed by the incident.
Vingegaard remains in second in the general classification, 4:15 behind Pogačar and based on his efforts today, he will no doubt try once more to crack the seemingly unbeatable Slovenian when the race hits the Alps.
