Oscar Onley (Netcompany-Ineos) was involved in a crash on stage 12 of the Vuelta a España, but was able to continue the race.

The incident occurred with 131km remaining, with the pace still high in the peloton as riders battled to form the breakaway.

Onley was one of the riders caught up in a crash around a roundabout, with Frederik Wandahl (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) also confirmed to have gone down.

Both were able to return to the peloton and were seen visiting the race doctor’s vehicle to receive treatment.

Onley started the stage fourth overall, 2:20 behind race leader Enric Mas (Movistar) and will be looking for a strong performance on a high-altitude summit finish to Calar Alto.
