Heavy rain contributed to a mass crash in the peloton during stage 4 of the Tour de Pologne, forcing race officials to neutralise the race.

The incident occurred with around 40 kilometres remaining and involved riders from several teams, including Juan Sebastián Molano,João Almeida,  Jan Christen and Rune Herregodts of UAE Team Emirates-XRG, Wilco Kelderman and Bart Lemmen of Team Visma | Lease a Bike, Matevž Govekar of Bahrain Victorious, Jardi van der Lee of EF Education-EasyPost, Robin Froidevaux of Tudor Pro Cycling and Rudy Molard of Groupama-FDJ United.

Officials initially slowed the race before imposing a full neutralisation while medical staff attended to the fallen riders and the road was cleared.

Stage 4 resumed around 30 minutes later on a shortened route, with 14 kilometres removed from the original parcours. The ascent of Borowice, which had been scheduled as the final classified climb of the day, remained part of the revised stage.
