Visma brings Gaudí inspired jersey design to 2026 Tour de France

It has become something of a tradition in recent years. Team Visma | Lease a Bike unveil a special edition Tour de France jersey each season, as their regular kit bears too close a resemblance to the iconic Maillot Jaune of the race.

In recent years, a range of designs has passed through the lineup. From jerseys featuring the names of fans, to a Renaissance-inspired kit unveiled at the start in Florence, and the now iconic Dutch Masters design, in which Jonas Vingegaard claimed his first Tour de France victory in 2022.

This year, the Dutch team draws on the Grand Départ in Barcelona and the unmistakable influence of Antoni Gaudí.

That influence runs through the jersey. As the team puts it, “the 2026 Tour jersey draws directly from Gaudí’s work, where natural structures play a central role.”

One motif stands out: the honeycomb. It reflects Gaudí’s belief that “strength was not about how something looked, but how it worked,” described as “a collection of small elements forming a strong and highly efficient whole.”

According to Team Visma | Lease a Bike, “that philosophy aligns seamlessly” with the team, underlining its focus on collective strength over individual brilliance.

Unlike previous years, the team is not committing to a single design just yet. Two versions, one light and one dark, have been released, with fans given three days, from Tuesday through Thursday, to vote. The outcome will determine which jersey the riders wear at the Tour de France.

On the road, Team Visma | Lease a Bike will again look to challenge the dominance of Tadej Pogačar, who is chasing a fifth Tour title.

Jonas Vingegaard will lead the team, with expected support from Sepp Kuss, Matteo Jorgenson, Bruno Armirail, Wout van Aert, Victor Campenaerts, Christophe Laporte and Ben Tulett.
