Vos set for emotional return to Paris-Roubaix alongside defending champion Ferrand-Prévot
Marianne Vos missed the Tour of Flanders due to family circumstances, but will return to action at Paris-Roubaix. The Dutch rider makes up part of a strong Visma | Lease a Bike team looking to defend their title, with returning champion Pauline Ferrand-Prévot also featuring.

Marianne Vos will return to racing at Paris-Roubaix after missing the Tour of Flanders last week following the death of her father.
“It has been a very difficult period,” said Vos in a Visma press release. “It was good and important for me to spend the past few weeks with my family. This week, I’ve tried to get back to normal life again, and of course, the bike is an important part of that.”
Vos has taken part in every edition since Paris-Roubaix became a fixture on the Women’s WorldTour calendar in 2021. In the inaugural edition, Vos placed 2nd behind Lizzie Deignan, and the Visma rider has finished 4th in the previous two editions. It’s a race that gives the former three-time world champion real joy.
“Paris-Roubaix is a very special race and has always been a major goal for me. So I’m really looking forward to being back on the start line with the team on Sunday,” said Vos.
“From the moment you arrive here and go out for the recon, it just feels great to be here. Even though the cobbled sectors can feel like torture, the road leading to the Vélodrome in Roubaix is beautiful. This race is so unique in cycling. I absolutely love it,” added Vos.
Twelve months ago, it was Vos’ teammate Ferrand-Prévot, who went clear with 19km remaining, soloing to victory on debut on the Roubaix velodrome. Ferrand-Prévot will take to the start line alongside Vos, with the ambition of winning another cobblestone.
“It was fantastic to be part of. When I was there in the final with Pauline and realised she was going to take the win, it gave me an amazing feeling,” Vos reflected on the 2025 edition. “I’m going to give it everything I have, and as a team we will definitely try to go for the win again.”
Alongside Vos and Ferrand-Prévot, the Visma squad is completed by Daniek Hengeveld, Lieke Nooijen, Nienke Veenhoven, and Margaux Vigie. The sixth edition of Paris-Roubaix Femmes will take place on Sunday, April 12, no longer on a separate day from the men's race.
