Vuelta’s much discussed influencer back around riders in water gun fight
Erola Jons has once again appeared alongside riders at the Vuelta a España, shortly after organisers tightened the conditions around her access following the controversy involving Tadej Pogacar.

In a new video published by Soudal Quick-Step, Jons is seen sitting next to Gianmarco Garofoli before being sprayed with a water gun. The Belgian team captioned the clip: “@erolajons vs. The Wolfpack: 0-1 😎🔫”
The appearance comes after La Vuelta clarified that Jons would remain involved with the race, but would no longer have unrestricted access to teams and riders. Any direct interaction now requires prior approval and consent from the team involved.
That appears to explain the latest clip, with Soudal Quick-Step itself publishing the video. Rather than being completely removed from rider areas, Jons can still feature in content when teams agree to take part.
The restrictions were introduced after UAE Team Emirates-XRG raised concerns over her interactions with Pogačar during the opening stage. La Vuelta subsequently apologised to the team and adjusted Jons’ role for the remainder of the race.
