What time does stage 2 of the Tour de France Femmes start?

Stage 2 of the 2025 Tour de France Femmes will begin with the neutralised start at 12:10 (CET) with the flag drop around 12:30 (CET) and the finish is expected around 15:04 (CET). Full live coverage will be avaliable from start to finish.

Tour de France Femmes stage 2 profile

Beginning from the port city of Brest, this stage will test the riders in multiple ways but will also treat them to some beautiful sights along the coast. In the first half of the stage, the riders will tackle the combination of Menez Quelerc’h (3km at 6.5%) and the Côte de Locronan (0.9km at 9.3%).

The stage concludes with two loops to Quimper featuring two climbs on each lap. First is the Côte du Chemin de Troheir, which is 1.3 kilometres at 5.3%, before the end of the lap and finish being set on a 500 metre ramp at 7.5% in Quimper.

When should you tune in? (Based on 43km/h schedule)

  • Intermediate sprint: 64.8km to go - Around 13:34
  • Menez Quelerc'h: 59.7km to go - Around 13:41
  • VC Côte de Locronan: 42km to go - Around 14:05
  • Côte du Chemin de Troheir: 30.5km to go - Around 14:21
  • Bonus sprint at Quimper: 22.9km to go - Around 14:32
  • Last 20km - Around 14:35

What to expect?

With another hilly stage on the horizon, we can expect the similar faces who featured towards the front of the action on the opening stage to do so again on the route to Quimper. And as we've seen yesterday it's all about timing efforts to perfections, as Marianne Vos did on the opening stage.

Tour de France Femmes: Results and classification standings after stage 1

Marianne Vos leads the general classification and will wear the first yellow jersey of the 2025 edition. Kim Le Court (AG Insurance-Soudal) sits 2nd in the general classification at 4 seconds, whilst Pauline Ferrand-Prévot (Visma | Lease a Bike) sits at 6 seconds. Kasia Niewiadoma (Canyon//Sram zondacrypto) is in 4th, 10 seconds off the yellow jersey with Demi Vollering (FDJ Suez) in 5th at 13 seconds.

Vos leads the points standings, Elise Chabbey (FDJ-Suez) is the early leader in the mountains classification, whilst Julie Bego (Cofidis) will wear the white jersey on stage 2 as leader of the youth standings. FDJ-Suez lead the team classification.
