'You feel very different' - Reusser succeeds in the last big race of a record-breaking year
The Swiss took a fifth European time trial title in Šenčur, beating Demi Vollering by 23 seconds.

Marlen Reusser won her fifth European time trial title in Šenčur, covering the course in 31:30.84 to beat Vollering by 23 seconds, with Juliette Berthet third. It moves her clear of Ellen van Dijk as the most successful rider in the event's history.
"It's the last big race of the season, and it's somehow different," Reusser said to Eurosport. "A lot of the nervousness is a bit gone, and you want to do a last good one, but you feel very different. I had a really nice day and I thought, let's just make a good race. I'm super happy that I could win."
The season also brought a second consecutive world time trial title in Montréal, won on her 35th birthday after she overturned a ten-second deficit to Zoe Bäckstedt at the first checkpoint. She caught Vollering on the road that day too.
She was fourth in the Worlds road race, missing the decisive move and chasing largely alone.
"I can be happy with a lot of things and some really good results, also some things that were unlucky or not so good, but also many good things," she said. "I think we can all be proud of this season."
"I have so many things that I want to change and improve and work on. Mainly I'm looking forward to really improving all the processes we do, and then hopefully we can achieve some more results. That would be cool. Mainly I'm looking forward to working together with my personal team and with Movistar to really improve a lot of things."
