Elisa Longo Borghini (born 10 December 1991 in Ornavasso, Italy) is one of the most experienced and successful riders in the women’s peloton. Racing for Lidl–Trek, she has won the Giro Donne, Paris-Roubaix and the Tour of Flanders, and has consistently performed at the top level in both stage races and one-day classics. Known for her strength on hilly terrain and her tactical awareness, Longo Borghini plays a dual role as team leader and road captain.
