Milan Fretin (Cofidis) sprinted to his second victory of the 2026 Tour of Guangxi on stage 5, beating Matteo Moschetti and Erlend Blikra. Race leader Paul Magnier (Soudal Quick-Step) suffered a heavy crash in the final kilometre following contact with Max Kanter. Fretin emerged from the chaotic finale to claim another win in the last sprint opportunity of the race.
