Itzulia Basque Country 2026 - Stage 2

Paul Seixas claimed a dominant solo victory on stage 2 of the Itzulia Basque Country, attacking on the San Miguel de Aralar with over 25 kilometres to go and quickly distancing all GC rivals. He extended his lead on both the climb and descent to secure his second consecutive win, underlining his early control of the race. Behind him, a select group led by Mattias Skjelmose and Primoz Roglic followed at a distance, unable to close the gap.
