Valentin Paret-Peintre gave France its first stage win of the Tour by outsprinting Ben Healy at the summit of Mont Ventoux. The Frenchman emerged from a large breakaway and was helped in the finale by teammate Ilan Van Wilder. Jonas Vingegaard launched multiple attacks in the GC battle, but Tadej Pogacar responded calmly. The two finished together, 43 seconds behind the stage winner.
