Femke de Vries claimed her first professional victory by beating Lauren Dickson in a two rider sprint on stage 1 of the Tour de Suisse Women in Sondrio. The pair broke clear on the second climb of Triangia and held off the chasing peloton despite several attacks behind. De Vries also took the overall race lead, while Cedrine Kerbaol finished third.
