The queen stage was set to feature three ascents of Willunga Hill for the first time, but the climb has now been removed due to extreme fire danger. After the start in Brighton and the coastal sprints in Aldinga, the race will still tighten in the Adelaide Hills before a new finish on High Street in Willunga, leaving the general classification without its expected summit showdown.
