The 2026 Lloyds Tour of Britain Men takes place from September 2 to 6, with five stages taking the peloton from Lincoln through Yorkshire before the race concludes in Earlston in the Scottish Borders. Romain Grégoire won the 2025 edition ahead of Remco Evenepoel and Julian Alaphilippe.

Route
The 2026 Tour of Britain features five varied stages, starting with a demanding opening day in Lincoln. The riders will tackle the famous Michaelgate climb five times on the finishing circuit, immediately creating an opportunity for the punchier riders to make a difference.
Stage 2 from Boston to Skegness offers the clearest opportunity for the pure sprinters before a longer stage from Hull to Beverley, where an uphill drag to the finish could make for a more selective finale.
The decisive GC battle is expected to come in North Yorkshire on stage 4. The route from Helmsley to Leyburn crosses the Yorkshire Dales and includes Greenhow Bank, Kidstones, Greets Moss and Grinton Moor before the finish in Leyburn.
The race concludes with another demanding day around Earlston in the Scottish Borders. The final stage heads into the Lammermuir Hills before two finishing circuits around Earlston decide the overall winner.

Favourites
Benoît Cosnefroy looks the most natural fit for the route, with short climbs, punchy finishes and bonus seconds all playing to his strengths. UAE Team Emirates XRG also have Jhonatan Narváez as a dangerous second option.
Maximilian Schachmann and Aurélien Paret-Peintre should feature prominently in the GC battle, particularly on the harder fourth stage. Filippo Ganna is another major contender, although the absence of an individual time trial works against him. Connor Swift, Ben Swift and Xandro Meurisse are among the other riders capable of challenging across the five stages.
