Route
The 2026 Tour of the Alps runs from Innsbruck to Bozen/Bolzano and packs five demanding stages into a compact route. With constant climbing and little room to recover, the race is set up for an aggressive and selective week.
The opening stage offers opportunities for attackers on the Götzens circuit, though a reduced sprint remains possible. Stage 2 then delivers the first real GC test with the summit finish in Martell, where early gaps are expected.
Stage 3 combines a long climb with a more open finale, making it unpredictable and potentially favourable for breakaways. The queen stage on day 4 is likely to shape the overall, with heavy climbing followed by a punchy finish into Trento.
The final stage ensures the race stays alive, with repeated climbs and bonus seconds before a fast run into Bozen/Bolzano, where the overall could be decided.
