1. Pau Marti (NSN)
Pau Martí has made a strong start to the 2026 season. He took a stage win at the Tour du Rwanda and followed that up with a third place at the Figueira Champions Classic in a competitive field.
His most recent outing was Strade Bianche, where he finished 41st. More importantly, his profile fits this race well. Martí thrives on short, steep climbs and also has a capable sprint.
If the race opens up, he has the tools to get involved in stage finishes. At just 200 credits, he stands out as one of the best value picks available.
2. Davide Piganzoli (Visma | Lease a Bike)
Davide Piganzoli is one of the more exciting young climbers in the Visma setup, having joined from Polti Visit Malta for the 2026 season.
He has already shown good form this year with a sixth place at the Faun Drome Classic, although his DNF at Paris Nice raises a small question mark.
He will likely ride in support of Jonas Vingegaard, which could limit his freedom. Still, if he gets the opportunity, his profile suits this race. His performances in the last two editions of the Giro d’Italia showed he can compete close to the top ten in a general classification.
At 400 credits, he offers solid depth for your team.
3. Cian Uijtdebroeks (Movistar)
Cian Uijtdebroeks comes into Catalunya after finishing fifth at Milano Torino, where he looked strong on both ascents of Superga and was not afraid to race aggressively.
That performance followed a short break after abandoning the Volta Comunitat Valenciana, making his return even more promising.
We see him as a realistic top five contender in the general classification, especially with the harder stages later in the week, including stage six with the Col de Pradell.
At 400 credits, he works well as a second GC option behind your main leader.
4. Henok Mulubrahan (XDS-Astana)
Henok Mulubrhan is a great fit for this parcours. The Eritrean champion combines solid climbing with a strong finishing kick, which makes him dangerous on rolling terrain.
He showed good form earlier this season in races like the Tour of Oman and the AlUla Tour, and this race should suit him even better.
The opening stage could already offer him an opportunity, and he has the potential to feature regularly in stage results. At 400 credits, he is a strong wildcard pick.
5. Matthew Riccitello (Decathlon CMA CGM)
Matthew Riccitello has started life at Decathlon CMA CGM in impressive fashion after his move from Israel Premier Tech. Over the winter, he appears to have taken another step forward.
He won the Tour de la Provence with a strong ride on Montagne de Lure, holding off Carlos Rodríguez, and also showed good form in support of Paul Seixas in Algarve.
In Catalunya, he should get his own chances. The longer climbs later in the race suit him well, and he has the ability to deliver a strong general classification result.
At 800 credits, he is our second value pick for the GC.
