Simon Geschke: 'I don't want to see that polka dot jersey' – Domestique Hotseat
Former German cyclist Simon Geschke joins Aidan to reflect on a 16 year WorldTour career, the evolution of cycling technology and the moments that defined his life in the peloton. From his breakthrough Tour de France stage win in 2015 to wearing the polka dot jersey in 2022, Geschke shares what it really feels like to compete at the highest level and why some results still sting years later.

From reflecting on how the sport changed during his career with the rise of disc brakes, power meters and increasingly aerodynamic bikes, to breaking down the instinct and timing behind his 2015 Tour de France stage win, Geschke shares the lessons learned across more than a decade in the peloton. He also talks about retirement, becoming a father and figuring out what life looks like after professional cycling, while still staying close to the sport through coaching and media work.
