Giro d'Italia - Stage 9

Stage 9 of the 2026 Giro d’Italia brings the race back into the mountains with a 184km journey from Cervia to Corno alle Scale, marking the final stage of the opening week. After more than 150km of largely flat roads across the Romagna plains and through Bologna, the route turns sharply uphill in the closing kilometres. The decisive section begins with the climb to Querciola before the riders tackle the final ascent to Corno alle Scale, a 12.8km climb averaging 5.9% with ramps reaching 15% inside the final 3km.
