2026 Milan-Sanremo start list - Who will be able to follow Pogacar and Van der Poel?
The first monument of the season, Milan-Sanremo, is on Saturday, March 21 and commences in Pavia before the riders take on the gruelling 298 kilometres to the seaside town of Sanremo on the Ligurian coast.

In total, 25 teams are on the start list, each fielding 7 riders, for a field of 175 riders.
All 18 WorldTour teams and 7 ProTeams are featured. The 7 ProTeams are Bardiani CSF 7 Saber, Cofidis, Novo Nordisk, Pinarello-Q36.5, Polti-VisitMalta, Tudor Pro Cycling and Unibet Rose Rockets.
Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) and defending champion Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin Premier-Tech) headline the start list, and it is expected that the duo will battle it out yet again in Italy, with the likes of Filippo Ganna (Ineos) set to join the battle once more.
Other notable riders on the start list include Isaac del Toro (UAE Team Emiratres-XRG), Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Premier Tech), Matej Mohorič (Bahrain Victorious), Wout van Aert (Visma | Lease a Bike), Tom Pidcock (Pinarello-Q36.5) and Julian Alaphilippe (Tudor)
