2026 Tour de France startlist: Pogacar, Vingegaard and the other 182 riders

The 2026 Tour de France starts in Barcelona on July 4 and finishes in Paris on July 26 with 23 teams and 184 riders. Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) lines up as the defending champion and favourite, with Jonas Vingegaard (Visma | Lease a Bike), Paul Seixas (Decathlon CMA CGM) and Remco Evenepoel (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) among riders likely to contend. There are 23 teams taking part in the 2026 Tour de France. All 18 UCI WorldTour teams are present, joined by five additional squads. Cofidis, Pinarello Q36.5 and Tudor earned selection by way of the UCI rankings with an automatic entry, while TotalEnergies and Caja Rural - Seguros RGAreceived wildcard invitations.

Each team sets out with eight riders, bringing the startlist for the Tour de France to 184 riders. 2025 TDF champion Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) is the standout name on the startlist as he chases Tour de France History. Jonas Vingegaard (Visma | Lease a Bike) will be aiming to dethrone Pogacar to win a third Tour de France. 

Other notable names for the general classification include Remco Evenepoel and Florian Lipowitz (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe), Paul Seixas (Decathlon CMA CGM), Isaac del Toro (UAE Team Emirates-XRG), Juan Ayuso (Lidl-Trek), Tobias Halland Johannessen (Uno-X Mobility), Tom Pidcock (Pinarello-Q36.5) and Matteo Jorgenson (Visma | Lease a Bike).

Other star men on the startlist include: Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Premier Tech), Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Premier Tech), Biniam Girmay (NSN Cycling Team), Mads Pedersen (Lidl-Trek) and Tim Merlier (Soudal Quick-Step).
