Final 2026 Vuelta a España classifications: Mas secures eternal glory

Tobias Halland Johannessen (Uno-X Mobility) won stage 21 of the Vuelta a España in Granada on the four-lap circuit beneath the Alhambra, with no changes to the general classification on the final day.

Enric Mas (Movistar) takes the overall, the first Spanish winner of his home Grand Tour since Alberto Contador in 2014 and the first Grand Tour victory of a career that had already brought four Vuelta podiums, including three second places.

Primož Roglič (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) finishes second at 2:15, denied a record fifth title that would have taken him clear of Roberto Heras. Felix Gall (Decathlon CMA CGM) is third at 2:44, having taken 29 seconds back on the Slovenian on the queen stage to the Collado del Alguacil.

Richard Carapaz (EF Education-EasyPost) is fourth at 6:54 and Sepp Kuss (Team Visma | Lease a Bike) fifth, the American having jumped six places with a long-range attack through the Sierra Nevada on Saturday.

Wout van Aert (Team Visma | Lease a Bike) wins the points classification. The Belgian inherited the green jersey when Pogačar abandoned and held it through the final two weeks, winning stage 13 in Loja and stage 15 in Córdoba from breakaways, and finishing third at Aramón Valdelinares and in Elche de la Sierra.

Santiago Buitrago (Bahrain Victorious) takes the mountains classification, which he has led since stage nine to Alto de Aitana. The Colombian consistently collected points in the high mountains throughout the race and also finished third on the stage to Calar Alto.

Oscar Onley (Netcompany-Ineos) wins the young rider classification ahead of Jakob Omrzel (Bahrain Victorious), having strengthened his position with a strong ride in the Jerez time trial.
