Who has withdrawn from the 2026 Giro d'Italia?

Although 184 riders started the 2026 Giro d’Italia in Nessebar on May 8, it is inevitable that not all of them will reach Rome.

Across 21 stages and 3,459 kilometres, the peloton will race from the Black Sea coast in Bulgaria to southern Italy, through the high mountains and on to the final stage in the Italian capital. Along the way, the riders face sprint stages, punchy terrain, a 42km individual time trial and several brutal mountain days, including summit finishes at Blockhaus, Pila, Carì, Alleghe and Piancavallo.

Making it to the finish of a Grand Tour is an achievement in its own right. Illness, crashes, injuries, fatigue and time cuts can all end a rider’s race early, and every abandon is a reminder of how unforgiving the Giro can be.

Below, we will keep track of every rider who withdraws from the 2026 Giro d’Italia as the race unfolds.
