Pogacar forced to chase ahead of Arenberg after untimely mechanical at Paris-Roubaix
The World Champion has suffered a setback in his quest to complete the Monument set at Paris-Roubaix

Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) suffered an untimely mechanical with 120km remaining on sector 22 Quérénaing to Maing
The World Champion had to initially take a neutral service bike, and it wasn’t until 116km that Pogačar was able to get his own bike. As a result, Pogačar found himself a minute behind the peloton, led by Alpecin-Premier Tech and Visma | Lease Bike.
Pogačar had to lead his own chase as he was initially isolated before Antonio Morgado and Nils Politt were able to give him turns. But ultimately, Pogačar found himself alone once more and had to spend considerable energy to try and return to the peloton ahead of the Trouée d’Arenberg, but he managed to make it back just a few kilometres before the forest.
