Men's World Championship ITT: Start times and order
The men’s World Championship time trial in Kigali takes place on Sunday, September 21, on a 40.6-kilometre course through the Rwandan capital. The route packs in 681 metres of climbing and three intermediate checks at 10.6, 24.0 and 31.6 kilometres. Here’s the start order, from the opening rider to those expected to battle for the rainbow jersey.

The race opens at 13:45 (CET) with Rwanda’s Shemu Nsengiyumva, the first of 55 riders to take on the course through Kigali. The early starters include continental champions and developing talents, before the spotlight shifts towards the big names in the second half of the schedule.
Lucas Plapp rolls down the ramp at 15:12, Spain’s Ivan Romeo follows at 15:37, while Plapp's fellow Aussie Jay Vine goes at 15:50. Stefan Küng departs at 15:55, before the tension peaks with Tadej Pogačar at 15:57 and Remco Evenepoel, the final starter, at 16:00. Their head-to-head is expected to decide who claims the rainbow jersey in Kigali.
