Tadej Pogacar and Paul Seixas smash La Redoute record
Tadej Pogacar once again tried to make the difference on La Redoute, only this time he found an equal in Paul Seixas. In his attempt to drop the Frenchman, the duo set a record time on the Ardennes’ most famous climb.

After a thrilling start to the race, with Remco Evenepoel part of a 50 plus rider breakaway that forced UAE Team Emirates–XRG to chase, everything came back together with around 85 km to go.
From there, UAE continued to control the race heading into La Redoute. The run in was hectic as ever, with riders battling for position as the road narrowed and pitched upwards.
From the base, UAE set a relentless tempo through Benoît Cosnefory, quickly thinning out the group. By the time the steepest ramps kicked in, only a handful of contenders remained at the front. Pogačar made his move on the steep part of the climb, with only Paul Seixas being able to follow the world champion while Remco Evenepoel couldn't follow already at the beginning of the climb.
In the end, Pogačar and Seixas covered the climb in 3 minutes and 45 seconds, shaving 13 seconds off the record he set last year.
