Tiesj Benoot signs with Decathlon CMA CGM for 2026
Belgian all-rounder Tiesj Benoot will join Decathlon CMA CGM at the start of the 2026 season after signing a three-year contract with the French team.

The 31-year-old Belgian has been with Visma-Lease a Bike since the 2022 season and will complete his contract with the Dutch squad before making the move.
"I'm very happy to be joining Decathlon CMA CGM in 2026," said Benoot in the teams press release "It's a team that shares my values and ambitions, and I'm convinced that together we can achieve great things."
Benoot has established himself as one of the sport's most versatile riders, capable of performing in the classics, stage races and as a key lieutenant in Grand Tours. His palmares includes a winning on the white roads of Strade Bianche (2018), a stage win at the race to the sun, Paris-Nice(2020), along with numerous high placed finishes in the classics such as the Amstel Gold race and monuments including the Tour of Flanders.
The signing represents another significant addition for Decathlon CMA CGM as they continue to strengthen their roster with experienced talent.
Sports Director Sébastien Joly expressed his enthusiasm for securing Benoot's services: "Tiesj is exactly the type of rider we want in our team. He brings experience, versatility and a winning mentality that will benefit our younger riders."
Benoot could become somewhat of a key asset in the development of Decathlon's young gem's, Paul Seixas and Léo Bisiaux who have picked up some briliant results early on in their careers, similar to what Benoot achieved in his early days back at Lotto-Soudal in the mid 2010's.
Benoot cited the team's development and ambition as key factors in his decision to sign with the French outfit, with the French team obtaining some lofty ambitions for the coming years ahead specifically surrounding the Tour.
"I've been watching the project grow over the past few seasons, and I'm impressed by their approach," Benoot explained. "They have a clear vision for the future, and I'm excited to be part of it."
The Belgian will remain with Visma-Lease a Bike throughout the 2025 season, honouring his current contract before joining Decathlon CMA CGM on 1 January 2026.
