The Tour de France will have a fresh look in 2027, with Castelli revealing its new yellow, green, polka-dot and white jerseys at the official route presentation in Paris on Thursday.

While the return of the Italian clothing manufacturer had already been confirmed earlier this month, the unveiling offered a first look at how cycling's most recognisable classification jerseys will change next season.

The biggest visual change comes to the white jersey, worn by the best young rider in the general classification. For the first time, the iconic jersey will feature purple accents on the collar, sleeves and hem, marking the arrival of French pharmaceutical company Sanofi as its new sponsor.

Announced as the new white jersey partner last week, Sanofi will sponsor the classification at both the Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift from 2027.

New details for the green and yellow jerseys

The green jersey has undergone a clear visual refresh for 2027. Where the 2026 version was almost entirely uniform green, Castelli’s new design breaks up the look with pale green sleeves and collar, creating a more distinctive two-tone finish.

The changes to the yellow jersey are more subtle. Castelli has introduced a hidden French tricolour along the inside of the zip, while special pigments give the famous Maillot Jaune a more vibrant finish. The jersey also carries the signature of Tour de France co-founder Henri Desgrange.

Meanwhile, the polka-dot jersey features a clever integration of Castelli's scorpion logo, which sits within one of the red dots, helping the branding blend seamlessly into one of cycling's most recognisable designs.

Castelli returns after 33 years

The new collection marks Castelli's return to the Tour de France after more than three decades.

The Italian manufacturer previously supplied the race's leaders' jerseys between 1989 and 1994, a period that included Tour victories for Greg LeMond and Miguel Indurain.

From 2027, Castelli will replace fellow Italian brand Santini, which has supplied the Tour's classification jerseys for the past five years.

The change forms part of a six-year agreement with race organiser Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO), covering 27 cycling races and events.

Alongside the Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, Castelli will produce classification jerseys for races including the Vuelta a España and Paris-Nice.

"For any cycling apparel brand, producing the Maillot Jaune represents the highest possible honor," said Castelli Global Brand Manager Steve Smith.

"We wanted these jerseys to be truly special, which is why every micro-detail stems from our deep reverence for what they represent to the sport and the riders who earn them."

Castelli's return also comes in the year of its 150th anniversary, adding another chapter to the brand's long association with professional cycling.
