Results: stage 2 Tour de France
Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Deceuninck) won stage 2 of the Tour de France with a blistering uphill sprint in Boulogne-sur-Mer ahead of Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) and Jonas Vingegaard (Visma | Lease a Bike). The race split into pieces in the punchy finale and the Dutchman proved the strongest in the tough final kilometre to take his first Tour stage win since his debut in 2021.
