Tour de France stage 4 profile
Stage 4 ends with a punchy finale packed with short, steep climbs - six in the last 60 kilometres. The final hill averages 10% and could spark attacks from puncheurs or even GC riders. With a fast descent before the uphill finish in Rouen, expect a technical and explosive end to the day.
Amiens Métropole - Rouen (174.2km) - Hilly
The neutralised start is at 13:15 (CET) while the finish is expected at 17:22 (CET).

What to expect?
An exciting finale awaits on stage four, with plenty of short, steep climbs to contend with. It should be one for the puncheurs and potentially the GC contenders too, with six categorised climbs inside the final 60 kilometres.
The final hill is 0.8 kilometres long and averages a steep 10.6%, providing a great opportunity for the puncheurs to attack. Equally, it could be advantageous to wait until the summit to launch an attack on the other side of the hill when most riders will be on their limit.
There may be GC gaps on a stage of this nature with a rollercoaster finish in Rouen, but with a descent in the final few kilometres before the kick up to the line, things could get tricky and technical. Similarly to stage two, Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Deceuninck), Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) and Jonas Vingegaard (Visma | Lease a Bike) are expected to be at the front of the action, whilst names such as Romain Grégoire (Groupama-FDJ), Kévin Vauquelin (Arkéa-B&B Hotels), and Oscar Onley (Picnic PostNL) will be looking to be in the mix once more.
