Video: Early scare on the start ramp as Oliveira crashes before the race even begins
The Tour of Flanders had barely gotten underway when the first incident of the day already unfolded in Antwerp. For UAE Team Emirates-XRG rider Rui Oliveira, the race almost ended before it had truly begun.
As the peloton rolled out, the Portuguese rider briefly got caught behind another rider. In an awkward moment, he lost his footing and stumbled toward the advertising barriers lining the stage.
Fortunately, the Portuguese helper of Tadej Pogačar escaped without injury, quickly getting back on his feet.
