Visma | Lease a Bike introduces special pin for cycling’s eight Grand Tour winners
Team Visma | Lease a Bike has marked Jonas Vingegaard’s entry into the select group of riders to have won all three Grand Tours with a tribute to one of cycling’s rarest achievements.

Ahead of the 2026 Tour de France, the Dutch team is reflecting on last month’s Giro d’Italia, where Jonas Vingegaard’s Giro d’Italia victory completed his set of Grand Tour titles. The Dane, already a two time Tour de France winner (2022 and 2023) and the 2025 Vuelta a España champion, has now joined a select group that spans more than a century of professional cycling.
Only eight men have won the Tour de France, Giro d’Italia and Vuelta a España. Before Vingegaard, the list consisted of Jacques Anquetil, Felice Gimondi, Eddy Merckx, Bernard Hinault, Alberto Contador, Vincenzo Nibali and Chris Froome.
To commemorate the achievement, Visma | Lease a Bike has introduced an exclusive pin that will be awarded to all eight riders, or in the case of those no longer alive, to their relatives. The team said the gesture is intended as a lasting tribute to a feat that remains one of the hardest in the sport to accomplish.
In stage 21 of the Giro, the Dutch team had already celebrated the Grand Tour trilogy with a special jersey. The design referenced the achievement and carried the names of the other riders who had completed the same historic feat.
Following the Giro, team CEO Richard Plugge presented Vingegaard with the first commemorative pin.
“Jonas has won all three Grand Tours. Only seven other riders have ever achieved that. That shows just how difficult it is,” Plugge said.
“Because there is no official badge of honour for this achievement, we wanted to create something special for Jonas: a pin. It also belongs to the other seven riders who have accomplished this, and to anyone who will ever achieve it in the future.”
And that “anyone” could still grow this year, should Vingegaard’s long time rival Tadej Pogačar decide to line up at the Vuelta a España and win it.
The Slovenian has already won the Tour de France four times, in 2020, 2021, 2024 and 2025, and added the Giro d’Italia in 2024. That leaves the Spanish Grand Tour as the only missing piece in his own set.
UAE Team Emirates-XRG sports manager Joxean Matxin previously said that a decision on Pogačar’s possible Vuelta participation would only be made after the Tour.
