Volta Comunitat Valenciana 2026 - Stage 2 time trial start times
The Volta Comunitat Valenciana continues on stage 2 with a 17.5km time trial from Carlet to Alginet, where world and Olympic time trial champion Remco Evenepoel (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) will be the favourite to claim stage honours.
The time trial opens with a technical run in before the route tilts upwards on a 3 km climb around 8 km from the finish. From there, it is a fast descent into Alginet, where riders will be looking to carry speed all the way to the line.
Liam Flanagan (APS Pro Cycling by Team Cadence Cyclery) is the first starter at 14:47 CET. Riders then leave at one minute intervals through most of the afternoon, with the final 10 riders setting off every two minutes.
Among the key names, João Almeida is the first major contender to start at 15:32. Other times to note include Antonio Tiberi (15:40), Brandon McNulty (15:47), Giulio Pellizzari (15:50), Johannes Kulset (15:55), Cian Uijtdebroeks (15:56) and Iván Romeo (15:58). Later on, Magnus Sheffield starts at 16:11 and Mathias Vacek at 16:13.
Evenepoel is one of the final starters, rolling out at 16:26. Stage 1 winner Biniam Girmay, the race’s first leader, will be the last rider off at 16:38, although he is not expected to be in contention to defend the jersey.
