Will Visma reshuffle squads ahead of Vingegaard’s Giro-Tour quest?
Visma | Lease a Bike's provisional squads for the Giro d'Italia and Tour de France have already been outlined, but two riders involved have indicated that their participations are far from finalised.

Jonas Vingegaard is set to tackle the Giro d’Italia and the Tour de France in the same season for the first time in his career, and it appears that the teams which will support the Dane in his quest are far from set in stone.
Vingegaard will make his Giro debut when the race kicks off on May 8 in Bulgaria, and Visma’s current provisional squad for the race includes the Dane, Victor Campenaerts, Wilco Kelderman, Timo Kielich, Bart Lemmen, Davide Piganzoli and Tim Rex.
However, it appears that the Dutch team’s line-up could well be subject to change from the provisional line-up provided by RCS. Speaking to In De Leiderstruiat Eschborn-Frankfurt, 22-year-old Belgian Rex revealed that it has yet to be confirmed that he will make his Grand Tour debut in Italy.
Meanwhile, Ben Tulett, who finished 3rd in Germany at Eschborn-Frankfurt, is currently on the provisional start list for the Tour de France. However, the British rider also confirmed to In de Leiderstrui that he is currently preparing to ride the Vuelta a España, though didn’t rule out any late changes by Visma.
“Unless something crazy happens, it will still be the Vuelta. But if there is one team that knows a lot of crazy things can happen on the way to the Grand Tours, it is Visma,” said Tulett.
Tulett rode the Vuelta last year, finishing 24th overall and supporting Vingegaard to GC victory, but the 24-year-old British rider has yet to make his Tour debut.
Visma’s provisional Tour squad includes Vingegaard, Tulett, Campenaerts, Matteo Jorgenson, Sepp Kuss, Christophe Laporte, Bruno Armirail, and Wout van Aert. The Tour begins in Barcelona on July 4, just 34 days after the Giro draws to a close in Rome.
Vingegaard is looking to become the ninth male rider to complete the Giro-Tour double, and the first to do so since Tadej Pogačar in 2024.
