The Clàssica Comunitat Valenciana setting up a race that should favour the faster finishers, provided they survive the demanding first half. Starting from La Nucia, the peloton covers 199.5 kilometres, and almost all of the roughly 2,400 metres of climbing is packed into the opening 120 kilometres. The final 80 kilometres are virtually flat, a run in that typically brings the sprinters to the fore. With several quick men on the start list, a hard race early on could still shape who is left to contest the finish.
