The 36th PostNord Tour of Denmark took place from 29 July to 2 August, with five stages designed for sprinters, attackers and versatile general classification contenders. Wout van Aert emerged as the dominant rider of the race, winning three of the five stages and sealing overall victory for Visma | Lease a Bike.

Route
The 2026 PostNord Tour of Denmark opens with a challenging circuit stage around Aalborg, where three late ascents of Mølleparken could already create gaps.
Stage 2 should favour the sprinters, before the race reaches its toughest point on stage 3. The queen stage features more than 2,400 metres of climbing and several sharp ascents in the finale.
Stage 4 offers another selective finish in Faaborg, while the final stage from Køge to Rødovre is expected to end in a sprint.

Visma | Lease a Bike arrives with Wout van Aert and former winner Christophe Laporte, making them the team to beat despite some uncertainty over form and leadership.
Corbin Strong is another major contender thanks to his climbing ability and fast finish. Jakob Söderqvist, Søren Kragh Andersen, Tibor del Grosso and Lukáš Kubiš should also be well suited to the rolling terrain.
Other riders to watch include Alexander Kamp, Matys Grisel, Mathieu Kockelmann, Matyáš Kopecký, Martin Marcellusi and Rasmus Tiller.
