Del Toro returns to racing with double programme in Germany after Tour de France success
The 22-year-old will return to racing at the ADAC Cyclassics before he is expected to line up at the Deutschland Tour later in August.

Isaac del Toro (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) appears set to return to racing at the ADAC Cyclassic in Hamburg on August 16, following his successful debut in the Tour de France in July.
Del Toro enjoyed a standout three weeks in France, winning a stage and the youth classification, before finishing third overall in Paris behind teammate Tadej Pogačar, who sealed a record-equalling fifth yellow jersey.
The Mexican champion was included among the riders to watch for this year’s race in a post on the ADAC Cyclassics’ official Instagram account on Wednesday, alongside Olav Kooij (Decathlon CMA CGM), Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek), Dylan Groenewegen (Unibet Rose Rockets) and Paul Magnier (Soudal Quick-Step).
The 205.3km route features 1,802 metres of climbing, with the short but steep Waseberg providing the main obstacle, where Del Toro could look to make a difference.
The 700-metre ascent, which reaches gradients of 14 per cent, will be tackled five times, with the final passage coming just 16km from the finish in central Hamburg.
The repeated climbs could make the race more selective than a conventional sprinters' contest, though the sprinters will still fancy their chances during the fast run-in through the city streets.
Del Toro will make his second appearance at the race after debuting last year. On that occasion, he finished 42nd as Rory Townsend (Unibet Rose Rockets) narrowly held off the peloton to win from the early breakaway.
His return comes after an eventful summer, with the 22 year old following his own Tour success by supporting his partner Romina Hinojosa as she became the first Mexican rider to start and finish the Tour de France Femmes.
After the ADAC Cyclassics, Del Toro is expected to remain in Germany for the Deutschland Tour, which takes place from August 19 to 23, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Ciro Scognamiglio.
It would be Del Toro’s debut at the Deutschland Tour, where he will have another chance to add to his nine wins so far this season.
