Red Bull cannot stop winning in 2026 as Marit wins Trofeo Palma
The 2026 Trofeo Palma was the fifth and final race of the Challenge Mallorca Series, and in store was an expected bunch sprint in the city of Palma, but could anyone spring a surprise like 2025 Iúri Leitão sprung a late attack to glory?

As has been the case throughout the week, the day began gently, as the riders departed from Marratxí, heading for Palma with what appeared to be an expected bunch sprint. Sprinters such as Dylan Groenewegen (Unibet Rose Rockets), Magnus Cort (Uno-X), Arne Marit (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe), amongst other sprinters, were on the startlist.
Groenewegen was looking to make it two from two in Unibet colours, after winning the Clàssica Comunitat Valenciana, a week prior.
The localised circuit arrived, with several laps of it to be completed. Riders took their chances and laid their chips on the table, gambling on yet further breakaway success in the Trofeo Palma, with riders including Jelle Johannik (Unibet), Rune Herregodts (UAE Team Emirates), with the latter maintaining his breakaway effort until the final lap, with a bunch sprint in bound.
The final few kilometres were a messy scrap with riders fighting bravely for position, including a crash involving Noah Hobbs (EF Education EasyPost) on the exit of one of the numerous hairpins. Heading into the last metres, Arne Marit (Red Bull) powered clear of everyone to take a strong victory in his first race in Red Bull colours. Completing the podium was Max Kanter (XDS-Astana) in second and Alessio Magagnotti (Red Bull) in third.
It wasn't to be for Groenewegen with the Dutchman pretty anonymous inside the last kilometre.
