When should you watch Tour de France Stage 6?

If you only want to watch the decisive part of the stage, tune in from around 15:30 CEST. The Col d’Aspin is expected between 15:37 and 15:58, while the peloton should reach the top of the Col du Tourmalet between 16:30 and 16:58. The finish in Gavarnie-Gèdre is expected between 17:29 and 18:05.

Why is the Tourmalet important today?

The Col du Tourmalet is the biggest climb of the day and comes with 38.4 kilometres still to race. That makes it too far from the finish for a simple summit attack, but perfect for teams looking to reduce the group before the final climb.

If UAE Team Emirates-XRG, Visma | Lease a Bike or Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe set a hard pace here, the first serious general classification gaps of the Tour could open before Gavarnie-Gèdre.
