Route
The 22.1 kilometre time trial starts and finishes in Šenčur and features 367 metres of climbing. The opening kilometres are relatively flat, allowing the strongest time trial specialists to quickly find their rhythm. The road then gradually rises towards Olševek before the decisive section begins near Tupaliče. Here, the riders tackle the steep climb towards Možjanca, where significant gaps could emerge.
After the summit, a narrow and technical descent will put bike handling skills to the test. The course then flattens through Cerklje na Gorenjskem, before a fast final seven kilometres turns the race into a pure test of power and pacing.

Favourites
Marlen Reusser is the clear favourite after recently defending her world time trial title. The Swiss rider has also won four of the last five European titles. Franziska Koch looks like one of her biggest challengers after taking bronze at the World Championships, while Elisa Longo Borghini is another major medal contender.
Demi Vollering could benefit from the climbing on this course and arrives as the newly crowned European road race champion. Lieke Nooijen and Cédrine Kerbaol are dangerous outsiders, while Dominika Włodarczyk, Kasia Niewiadoma Phinney and Belgian champion Lotte Claes are also capable of challenging for a strong result.
