Tour de France 2026: the six special edition jerseys set to light up the peloton

The Tour de France is cycling’s biggest stage, giving teams and sponsors a rare opportunity to present themselves to a global audience. Six squads will use that spotlight to introduce a special edition look for the 2026 race.

Some teams traditionally change their colours to avoid similarities with the Tour’s classification jerseys. Others now see the race as an opportunity to celebrate a milestone, tell a story or create a stronger connection with the location of the Grand Départ.

From designs inspired by Barcelona’s architecture to retro colours and fluorescent flames, these are the special jerseys confirmed for the 2026 Tour de France.

Visma | Lease a Bike: Gaudí meets the honeycomb

Team Visma | Lease a Bike will race in a dark jersey nspired by Barcelona and the work of architect Antoni Gaudí.

The design features a honeycomb pattern that references Gaudí’s fascination with structures found in nature. For the team, the pattern also represents how individual elements can work together to create one strong and efficient collective.

Visma initially presented both a light and a dark version of the jersey before inviting supporters to select the final race design. More than 100,000 votes were cast, with the dark option receiving the majority and earning its place in the peloton.

The team regularly introduces an alternative kit for the Tour because its usual yellow colours are too similar to the race leader’s yellow jersey. The light version of the 2026 design will still be used by the riders on rest days.

Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe: turning number 13 upside down

Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe will mark its 13th Tour de France appearance with a jersey centred around one of cycling’s most recognisable superstitions.

An oversized, inverted number 13 stretches across the kit, referring to the tradition of riders turning race number 13 upside down in an attempt to avoid bad luck.

The jersey moves from white around the shoulders into deep blue further down the body. Transparent layers and strong geometric shapes give the design a visual connection with the team’s special edition bike.

The number also refers to the team’s own journey at the Tour, from its first appearance in 2014 to stage victories, Peter Sagan’s record breaking green jersey campaign and its development into a team capable of competing for the general classification.

Caja Rural Seguros RGA: a tribute to its Tour heritage

Caja Rural Seguros RGA will celebrate its first Tour de France appearance in its current form with a jersey inspired by the team's history.

The green, white and yellow design refers to the earlier Caja Rural squad that competed in the Tour in 1987 and 1988. While the visual identity is deliberately retro, the jersey itself uses contemporary fabrics and race technology.

The kit will also carry the hashtag #ForçaJaume in support of Caja Rural rider Jaume Guardeño, who is recovering from serious injuries sustained in a training accident.

By combining its past with the identity of the current team, Caja Rural is using its Tour debut to introduce itself while recognising the organisation’s wider cycling heritage.

Movistar Team: Barcelona architecture in blue

Movistar Team will start the Tour in a blue jersey created with Spanish cycling brand Gobik.

Like Visma | Lease a Bike, the team has looked towards Barcelona for inspiration. The design takes visual cues from the shapes, light and architectural details of the Sagrada Família, one of Antoni Gaudí’s most famous works.

Layered patterns across the fabric are intended to reveal different details depending on the angle from which the jersey is viewed. The design also arrives during the year that marks the centenary of Gaudí’s death.

As the only Spanish team in the WorldTour, Movistar has used the Barcelona Grand Départ to connect its national identity with the culture of the city hosting the opening stages.

Team Jayco AlUla: fluorescent flames for the Tour

Team Jayco AlUla will bring an even brighter version of its familiar purple look to the Tour de France.

Created by MAAP, the limited edition kit adds fluorescent green details and flame inspired graphics to the team’s existing colour palette. The result is one of the most immediately recognisable jerseys expected in the 2026 peloton.

The design was first presented during Paris Fashion Week as part of MAAP’s HYPERFORMANCE exhibition, placing the jersey at the intersection of cycling performance, fashion and visual culture.

Unlike several other Tour kit changes, Jayco AlUla’s new design is not required to prevent a colour clash. It is instead a deliberate visual statement created specifically for cycling’s largest global platform.

The same concept will also be used by Liv AlUla Jayco during the Tour de France Femmes.

Pinarello-Q36.5: a complete look for its Tour debut

The Pinarello Q36.5 will make its Tour de France debut with a complete limited edition race look.

The team is moving away from its regular dark colours in favour of a lighter palette combining pale blue, grey and Champion Gold. The design will appear across the jersey, Pinarello bike and matching helmet, creating one consistent identity throughout the team.

Q36.5 has also focused on the performance requirements of racing in July, with cooling, aerodynamics and comfort central to the development of the kit.

For a team entering the Tour for the first time, the coordinated design provides a clear way to mark the occasion and stand out during the biggest race of its season.
