The women’s individual time trial covers 39.2 kilometres through Montréal, with just 220 metres of elevation. Long, fast roads dominate the opening section before the course reaches the exposed banks of the St Lawrence and the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. Riders then return towards central Montréal, where frequent changes of direction can disrupt their rhythm. The main sting comes at the finish, with a gradual rise towards Parc Jeanne Mance followed by a steeper final few hundred metres at around six per cent.

Favourites
Defending champion Marlen Reusser is the clear favourite in Montréal, with the flat and powerful course playing directly to her strengths. Zoe Bäckstedt looks like her strongest challenger after an impressive season against the clock, while Demi Vollering returns after taking bronze in Kigali. Antonia Niedermaier and Taylor Knibb should also thrive on the fast parcours. Elisa Longo Borghini, Kristen Faulkner, Lieke Nooijen and Lotte Kopecky add further depth to a strong field chasing the rainbow jersey.
