Follow our live report as stage 2 of the 2026 Tour de France takes the peloton from Tarragona to Barcelona over 178.3 kilometres. After crossing the Penedès wine region, the race heads towards a demanding finale around Montjuïc, where two laps of a punchy finishing circuit could encourage attacks from both puncheurs and general classification contenders. The Côte du Château de Montjuïc, measuring 1.6 kilometres at 9.3%, is followed by the final climb towards the Olympic Stadium. Tadej Pogačar, Jonas Vingegaard and Mathieu van der Poel are among the riders expected to feature prominently. The stage starts at 1:55 pm CEST, with the finish expected at around 5:26 pm CEST.
