LIVE: Tour de France 2026 Stage 4: Breakaway likely to contest the stage
Tour de France - Stage 4
The fourth stage of the 2026 Tour de France stays in the Pyrenees on Tuesday, with the 181.9km road stage from Carcassonne to Foix. The peloton heads west through Cathar country and into the Ariège, with the Col de Villerouge (8.6km at 3%), Col de Bedos (3.4km at 4.3%) and Col du Paradis (6.4km at 4.1%) providing the early climbs. The Col de Coudins (10.5km at 5.5%) and Col de Montségur (6.9km at 6.6%) form the tougher climbs later in the day, with the Montségur summit just over 35km from the finish. The rolling terrain and heavy roads make the stage a natural target for the breakaway. A sprinter capable of surviving the closing climbs could still challenge in Foix. Stage 4 is set to get underway at 13:20 CEST and will finish at around 17:30 CEST. Follow it live on Domestique.
